Abaashieyah Moses
My name is Abaashieyah Moses and I am 19-years old. I have lived in Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain all my life, and I matriculated from Lentegeur Secondary School in 2016. I am a second-year, Bachelor of Arts student at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) majoring in English and Psychology. The bursary doesn’t only mean financial support, it also serves as a support system. Their investment serves as reassurance of my potential and their belief in me. This is uncommon within my social context, that the Trust would not only invest money, but their time. In the future I would like to complete my undergraduate degree and further my studies, majoring in English and become a teacher at my old high school. This would allow me to give back to my community and ensure betterment for other young people, much like the Trust has done for me.
