Ruwayda Esaus
My name is Ruwayda Esaus and I’m from Heinz Park, a neighbouring area of Mitchell’s Plain. I attended Woodlands Secondary School and matriculated in 2015. I’m a third-year student in B.Ed. FET Senior phase at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, in Mowbray. The Mitchell’s Plain Bursary Trust means a lot to many students but for me it means family. They really care and ensures that we have no worries about fees that needs to be paid or how we’ll be able to attend classes. They keep contact with us and made sure we had day out as a family. Now which bursary trust would offer this? (and it was really something new). I never expected a bursary trust would chat to us, encourage us to motivate others to study hard and to help them reach success. As a future teacher, I want to reach out to learners who think they won’t be able to reach their goals.
