Plough back to commemorate youth
The journey from being a stone-throwing activist in the 1980’s, to a trolley boy at Pick n Pay in Town Centre in teh early 1990s, to an executive at a mining company is one which many young people from Mitchell’s Plain would be keen to hear about. In celebration of Youth Day this June 16 and to commemorate the struggles of several generations, Jeremy Michaels shares with the Plainsman how he helped in the fight to destroy apartheid – and tells us about his current involvement in the Mitchell’s Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust.
